The business

With more than 150 years in the industry, Lipton Teas and Infusions are the world's leading purveyor of quality teas and herbal infusions, serving 400 million daily consumers in virtually every country through our brands such as PG Tips, Pukka Herbal, T2 and Lipton. Beyond their drinkers' wellbeing, they aim to create value for all their stakeholders, society and the planet.

As part of the Unilever group, their contingent workforce was managed by a well-known global workforce solutions group, however following a demerger from Unilever in 2023 Lipton sought to identify a bespoke solution to manage their supply chain and contingent workforce in the Netherlands, UK and Ireland.

The solution

At Giant we’re proud to have offered a tailored contingent workforce and supply chain management solution. Our ATS has brought oversight of the supply chain’s candidates, and the bespoke VMS facilitates online timesheets and enables detailed monthly reporting and forecasting. Our global framework also means we’re ready to support growth into new territories.

In July 2023, Lipton transitioned a large volume of contingent workers who remained contracted with various suppliers in the Netherlands, UK, and Ireland to Giant, working closely with us to ensure no disruption to payment schedules. The move to Giant has been positively received by agency partners and suppliers who have benefited from enhanced payment terms and self-billing arrangements. Uniquely, we can manage ‘margin only’ payments to suppliers and sourcing agencies on a self-bill basis which has reduced the administrative requirements for agencies.
